About
Hugh is interested in developing practical tools for research, firefighting, and community protection. While at Scion he has led research burn site development and Research Burn programs, as well as a variety of small projects including community fire risk assessments and development of specialized in-fire instrumentation. Prior to moving to New Zealand he completed his MSc in wildfire research and was a BC Wildfire Initial Attack crew member and leader.
